#04 Beautiful even when dry. A "Darjeeling" bouquet is a gift that offers a lingering summer feel

Do you have the impression that "summer flowers wither quickly"?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels a little nervous when giving flowers in the summer, after experiencing a beautiful bouquet wilting quickly due to the heat or the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors.
For &YOUKAEN, an online flower shop, summer is a season when we are particularly careful about shipping fresh flowers.
That's why we decided that if we're going to send flowers, we want to deliver a bouquet that can be enjoyed for as long as possible.
One day, while planning the Beyond HIMAWARI bouquet, the store manager casually made a remark.
"I'd want to display such a stylish bouquet forever."
Inspired by those words, we aimed for a "bouquet that is beautiful both as fresh flowers and as dried flowers," and began to create the Darjeeling L-size bouquet.
*For more details about the "Darjeeling" sunflower, please refer to this article. Please take a look.
Why is "Darjeeling" suitable for dried flowers?

The main sunflower, "Darjeeling," is an unusual double-flowered variety.
Since the core is densely packed with petals, it doesn't become sparse even when dry, and retains a firm silhouette.
*Since it is a natural material, some individuals may not have flowers in the center.
Furthermore, its original brown gradient color deepens when dried, and it's characterized by developing more character rather than dullness.
The greens that adorn the bouquet are also carefully selected for drying.
We use plants with low moisture content and fluffy, smooth textures, such as purple fountain grass and smoke grass, so their appearance doesn't significantly change over time.
Overall, drying adds "calmness" rather than "dullness."
It shows a change truly befitting of a "grown-up sunflower."
How to easily dry them as they are

Once you receive the bouquet, enjoy it fresh for a few days.
Then, hang the bouquet upside down in a well-ventilated, dry place to air dry it (hanging method).

Due to its volume, the L-size bouquet may develop mold inside if placed in a humid area.
Especially during this season, the key is to choose a place with air circulation, while avoiding direct sunlight.
The faster it dries, the more likely the color will remain beautiful.
For a small number of stems, air drying them in a vase is possible, but the stems may bend due to their weight.
If you want to dry them beautifully, we recommend the hanging method, where you hang them upside down.
*As shown in the image, it's also recommended to display them in a vase after drying to enjoy them as interior decor.

A flower gift with "beautiful lingering memories" that only adults can give
For those who tend to avoid fresh flower gifts in summer, we especially recommend this "Darjeeling" sunflower bouquet.
Giving a fresh bouquet brings joy, and
remaining as dried flowers makes it a "memorable gift."
A bouquet that is enjoyed as if it were carefully cultivated
is sure to leave a lasting impression on the recipient's heart.
Even if you're not an expert on flowers, simply adding a note saying, "You can dry these as they are,"
will make it a gift that gently complements the recipient's life.
Beautiful even when dry.
The splendor of fresh flowers and the quiet presence after they are dried.
&YOUKAEN's "Beyond HIMAWARI" series Darjeeling L-size bouquet is
designed to be enjoyed across seasons with a single bouquet.
This summer, why not give the gift of "everlasting feelings" to someone special?
