Searching for Autumn in Setagaya Ward, I found a Kuroganemochi tree

Hello! This is YOUKAEN, a flower shop in Setagaya☺️
It's been a chilly day lately. How are you all feeling?
When it gets cold like this, you want to eat something warm. These days I feel like I want to make good use of "Go To Eat" and warm up my mind, body, and wallet even just a little bit😋
Well, leaving aside the autumn appetite, autumn is also the season when plants shine! 🌼
Today, Yu Hanazono's florists found a little autumn in their hometown of Setagaya! 🍁
The bright red autumn gem “Kuroganemochi”
Have you ever taken a walk around this time of year and noticed that the trees are full of bright red berries?
It must be the “Kuroganemachi” tree!
When you look at the shiny, shiny fruit, it kind of looks like a cherry🍒, and you stop and think it looks delicious.
I'm sure the birds flying in the sky will peck at this fruit with this same feeling. Because it looks delicious.
On the premises of YOUKAEN Sakura Shinmachi store, there are bell-shaped fruits of Kuroganemochi. It's a little scary because it's all like a tree😨
But what do you think? Do these questions come to mind?
Why is it called "kuroganemochi" even though the fruit is bright red? 🤔
Origin of the name "Kuroganemochi"
This is a story about why it is called Kuroganemochi even though it bears bright red fruit.
The answer comes from the color of withered leaves.
The leaves of ``Kuroganemochi'' turn iron-colored when dried. For this reason, it is given the name "Iron (Kurogane)".
By the way, when you remove the skin, it becomes very sticky! In the past, people used to make bird mochi from this tree, which is why the name ``mochi'' was used.
Above all, this flower is known as a very auspicious flower. You can kind of guess why that is.☺️
It's simply because "kuroganemochi" means "rich"💰💰💰
Japanese people have always loved puns. This tree is not that difficult to grow, so it might not be a bad idea to try growing it to bring some luck!
