YOUKAEN Project No. 1

The ``Tsukiji Smile Square Charity Bazaar to support children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake'' was held on the grounds of Tsukiji Honganji Temple in Chuo Ward, Tokyo.
At the request of the president of Yokohama Oikawa Co., Ltd., we participated as a store.
On the day of the event, we were blessed with very nice weather from the morning, and customers were already arriving before the store opened at 10am.
There is also a collaboration (?!) effect with the pleasant smell of curry coming from next door (the booth next door is serving curry udon from Honganji Japanese Restaurant Shisui!!), and customers are gradually stopping by.
The lineup includes flower pots that can be enjoyed throughout the coming season, as well as herb seedlings and small ornamental plants.

Cyclamen, Rigas begonias, poinsettias, etc. are so brightly colored that everyone is sure to catch their eye. Particularly popular were the chili pepper seedlings! ! It has many small red, yellow, and purple chili pepper fruits. Although it is used as an ornamental, it is a small plant that can be enjoyed for a long time.

When I interact with my customers, I realize that they are all very interested in plants!
Conversations between customers who don't know each other flourish through plants and flowers.
I am really happy to see such a sight. At the same time, it was a day that made me want to work hard again tomorrow so that I can continue to provide such moments and places in the future.
