&YOUKAEN's Autumn Equinox
September 20th (Wednesday) to 27th (Wednesday) is the autumn equinox. It is a day to pay homage to our ancestors by visiting their graves and making offerings. Would you like to entrust your daily gratitude to flowers and give them during the equinox season?
The equinoctial week?
The seven days with the autumnal equinox as the middle day are considered special days when the sun rises due east and sets due west, making it easy to express feelings of gratitude. It is the act of making offerings and other memorial services to express gratitude to our ancestors. It is also said to be a day to give thanks for the autumn harvest.
By when should I send the flowers?
If you are unable to visit the grave and would like to send flowers, it is best to have them delivered by the day before the equinox (September 19th) or the morning of the same day (September 20th). In addition, if you are visiting a grave, we will prepare a bouquet of flowers, but if you wish to place them on a Buddhist altar, we recommend that you make a hassle-free arrangement.
What are the flowers of the equinox?
There is no set standard for flowers for the equinox, but if it has been a long time since the deceased passed away, we recommend flowers that are mainly white. Also, if it has been many years since the death, it would be wonderful to offer seasonal flowers or flowers that were loved by the deceased or ancestors.
