The theme of this year's Mother's Day "be full" is to fill mothers' hearts with unexpected joy.
To achieve this, we repeatedly experimented with different wrapping ideas and incorporated small details.
The gentle touch when held
First and foremost, we prioritized texture.
Mother's Day is a special occasion within the unique relationship between parent and child.
The warmth of a hand held in childhood, the softness of a favorite blanket.
Often, precious memories are tied to the sense of touch.
This is likely true for mothers as well.
Gentle memories recalled in fleeting moments, even amidst a busy daily life.
To evoke such sensations, we focused on using materials with as natural and soft a texture as possible.
The ribbon is symbolic of this approach.
After careful consideration and handling various materials, we chose a cotton ribbon with a slightly coarse, gentle texture.
It possesses the formal appearance of a proper gift, yet carries a familiar, nostalgic texture that everyone recognizes.
The paper, too, has been chosen for its texture.
For the L-size, we used a camel color base with a moderate firmness and high-quality feel, yet still soft. On top of this, we added a subtle translucency and luster.
For the M and S sizes, we opted for softer, warmer materials.
We chose papers in similar color tones to best showcase the flowers.
We aimed for a wrapping that would evoke gentle memories when held.
A shape that makes you want to embrace it
Another theme for this year's Mother's Day "be full" was "a bouquet you want to embrace."
The image we had in mind was a baby's swaddle.
For our most popular M-size, in particular, we incorporated wrapping inspired by this image.
However, simply wrapping everything would hide the beauty of the flowers.
So, we created a soft space inside, gently enveloping the flowers from the outside.
Displaying the flowers while embracing them.
We adjusted this balance many times.
We hope this bouquet will make you want to embrace it, recalling the precious time spent with your child.
May both givers and receivers be filled with joy
Both the flowers and the wrapping.
Both are meant to fill a mother's heart.
So that warm feelings spread from the moment they are received.
So that both givers and receivers are filled with gentle emotions.
